Waiting to Repair a Broken Friendship

Recently, I've often found myself thinking in great detail about the relationships in my life that have molded me into the person I am today. Note that this takes into account not only the successful friendships, but the unsuccessful as well. This was brought about through the mouth of a thirteen year old kid. In response to the following question, "What is it about a best friend that make them your best friend?" the junior high kid replied, "They remind you of who you want to be." This is one of the most profound remarks I've ever heard from a junior high kid. As a result, I have started to dig through some of the friendships that have seemingly failed in the past three years of my college career. As hard as it is for me, it needs to be taken care of. Regardless of the status of my friendships with the certain people I have in mind, I will always be available in friendship to them. I wish they knew that every time I remember them, I always pray with joy. "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." ~Philippians 1:3-6
