Since when did junior high kids become philosophers?

"Don't just journal about life, live life that needs to be journaled." -Allison Hanson- That's so very true. I journal a lot now, but my entire life, the only time I would ever journal was if something interesting was going on. For instance, I have kept all of the journal entries that I wrote during my four trips to Tijuana with the First Presbyterian youth group, the three trips to Westport, the three times I attended high school camp at Calvin Crest, the houseboat trip to Lake Shasta, the first few months of my freshman year of college, the summer I was on staff at Calvin Crest, and the summer I was on staff at Brackenhurst Ministries in Kenya. Granted, the events listed above are the exact experiences that have shaped me into who I am today and they are definitely worthy of remembering. However, the rest of my life, the things that have not been written down, will become just as changing as the experiences that have already been recorded. That's why I've been journaling for the majority of this year.
